Hello, world: why eusend has a blog
A place for engineering notes from running self-hosted email infrastructure in the EU — the wins and the messy parts.

Eusend is an email API built on a premise most of the industry finds inconvenient: that "your data stays in the EU" should be an architectural fact, not a marketing sentence. We run our own mail servers, our own database, our own storage — on European hardware, under European law.
Running everything yourself generates a lot of hard-won knowledge: IP warming schedules, bounce classification, MTA shaping policies, what actually gets you onto a blocklist and what gets you off one. Most of it isn't secret — it's just rarely written down by the people doing it.
That's what this blog is for:
- Engineering notes — deliverability, self-hosting, and the security work behind an email platform
- Product updates — what shipped and why
- The messy parts — honest write-ups when things break and what we changed
We're currently in invite-only beta, onboarding from the waitlist. If you're building something that needs email and you'd rather it stayed in Europe, come say Hei.
